Himalayan packing is about layers and redundancy — one warm jacket is not enough if it gets wet on a long drive day.
Clothing
- Base layers + mid fleece
- Windproof outer shell
- Comfortable walking shoes and sandals for hotels
- Light rain poncho (even in dry season)
Health & documents
- Personal medicines and basic altitude comfort items
- ID copies for permits (especially North Sikkim)
- Power bank — charging can be slower in remote stays
MTG tip: Pack a small day bag for sightseeing so you are not opening large suitcases in cold mornings.
